41st I devoted the whole afternoon to answering it wrote eighteen pages I had an engagement to go out riding this afternoon but the weather was entirely too disagreeable. It began to rain just before night and Mr Huebner did not come to take me to church. Father and Charlie being away made it rather a lonely Sunday Eve I went to bed early Fathers birthday. Monday March 25th 1872 A real chilly spring day. Mother and I did a wonderful large washing I had a note from Mr Huebner asking me to attend the theater tomorrow evening I answered it Jim came after Minnie this afternoon After I finished the washing I ripped up the skirt to my green poplin dress Tuesday March 26th 1872 I turned the skirt to my green dress today Mother and Hattie did part of the ironing Charlie got home from Illinois he brought me a pair of kid gloves a present from Uncle He reports the friends over there all well A beautiful spring day. And a glorious moonlight night. Went to the Theater with Mr H_ The play was "Rosedale" enjoyed it Father came home from Chicago tonight
