60th Monday May 13th 1872 We did not wash today I cleaned out the store room so they could move the flour chest in there Mr Huebner was over this morning a few moments. Mr Ogden was here and put the first coat of paint on the parlor. In the afternoon Mother and I went to town selected a carpet for the parlor. Arth started away tonight he came over and bid us good by This has been a much pleasanter day than yesterday. Tuesday May 14th 1872 Helped about the work this morning Mr Huebner was over. It rained all the afternoon Mother and I cut and sewed carpet rags Mr and Mrs Brooks went over to Givens tonight. I wrote a few lines to Mr Huebner Wednesday May 15th 1872 This has been a splendid day We washed got it done before noon In the afternoon Mother went to town I sewed carpet rags Mr Huebner was here after some cream Charlie brought the new carpet home. As soon as we got the supper over and the work done up I went to bed I was so tired.
