136th Wednesday January 1st 1873 Rather a pleasant day. I dressed and went over to Smiths. The wedding was a very pleasant affair there were only a few persons present I got home just at night. Winnie was here for dinner. Uncle Jim Mc brought Minnie up and left her to make a visit. Thursday January 2nd 1873 I was busy sewing all day I snowed quite hard, if the snow does not drift the sleighing will be splendid. I had a letter from Mr Huebner and answered it immediately. The last letter I wrote last year and the first one this year was to him. I wrote in the evening. Friday January 3rd 1873 A very unpleasant day the Children went to school I was busy sewing on the boys shirts I finished them, in the evening I worked at my embroidery. Saturday January 4th 1873 I cleaned up the house helped at the work and the Saturdays baking I worked at my embroidery in the evening Arth Folsom was here. Mr H_ did not come.
