143rd Wednesday January 29th 1873 Went to school it was an extreme cold day. I helped some about the work and sewed a little in the evening Thursday January 30th 1873 Taught school today After supper I had only sat down to my sewing when the boys came to take Hattie and I out to the oyster supper We went and had quite a pleasant time, did not get home till one oclock. Friday January 31st 1873 Taught today though I felt most wretchedly bad. When I got through with my supper I went to bed. Saturday February 1st 1873 Real early this morning Mother went over to see Mrs McSparen who is sick. Hattie and I did up the work I sewed on me a chemise all day. Sunday February 2nd 1873 I staid at home all day. I read a book through but did not write any. Mother went to Mr McClearys funeral
