8 On the March in Mo Nov 15th 1864 Tuesday Marched 21 miles to day. Reached St Louis at 2 P.M. and was assigned quarters in Benton Barracks. with orders to make out our muster & pay Rolls for six months being up to October 31st 1864 as soon as we lit in the Barracks we were put on Camp Rations of every thing, more prompt than just I think
