36 Defences of Nashville Tenn Dec 13th. 1864 Tuesday Hood is moving His Forces on the Centre between the Hardin and Nolensville Pike Roads, Some Skirmishing to day But the ground is slipery with ice & weather unfavorable for Military Operations. I wrote to G.T. Durno favoring the Idea of His sending a Box with some Home frouits & Cakes. Made out the Monthly Return of Alterations of Co for the State of Iowa for November/64
