40 Battle of Nashville Continued from page 39" Dec 16th 1864 Friday The Rebels forces were disposed as Follows Lees Corps on their right, Stewarts Corps the Centre & Lt Gen Cheatam Corps on their Left. The Total result up to this evening were 3000 Prisoners & 30 pieces of Artilery for this days work. The 4" Corps was [partally?] Repulsed on our left. also the 23d Corps on our right when the 16" Corps was thrown like a Thunderbolt & broke the Rebel Centre
