50 Columbia Tennessee Dec 24th.1864 Saturday Moved from our Camp on Duck River early this morning ,But did not get across the River untill 12 oclock Meridian. The 16th. & 23d Corps together with the Cavilry train had all orders to Cross the River at the same Hour 4 A.M. which was an imposibility.
