56 In the Field in Tennessee Dec 26th.1864 Monday Marched this morning towards Pulaski, marched 15 miles & Camped near Linnville 60 miles from Nashville. I see by the Nashville papers that the 4th Corps Corespondent gave them credit for the capture of Forts & Batteries that the 3d Brigade of 1st Division of 16th Corps Charged & took long before the 4th.Corps men Came up. But when a special writters uses such partial language as, Powrfull 4th Magnaficent 4 Corps &c when acting in conjunction
