74 Made a very good bed under our Shelter Tent, with young boughs of yellow Cedar a beautifull evergreen which abonds in this part of Tennessee. Iron mines have been worked in this part of Tennessee previous to the war, we passed very extensive Iron works near Waynesboro. Mr McElvain told how His Brother Wm., & [Lucy?] Borland got sold by old crazy Mrs. ,, ,, , in presence of a Bevy of young folks going to singing School, and other stories relating to the same William McElvain
