101 Gun Boat 19 Tennessee River Jan 6th 1865 Friday Our fleet arrived in front of East Port during the night, and went up, & Landed oppsite Chicasaw Bluffs, just over the Alabama line, The Enemy are suposed to be in the neighborHood, as our Gun Boat was ordered to weigh anchor & drop down to East Port in order to Cover a Party of Cavilry who are going out as Scouts from that place, We have had a good opportunity of seeing
