115 Camp Near East Port Miss January 10th 1865 Tuesday We moved to our permanent location to day Each Company had their ground assigned them & the men Commenced the erection of shanties for Winter quarters Each Mess building to suit their tast in such matters. Our ground is on a steep Hill side facing South East. The Ballance of our Corps arived from Clifton bringing our extra Tents & Blankets left there.
