117 Camp of 12th Iowa V.V. Infty Eastport Miss Jan 12th 1865 Thursday We Carried our logs from the ravines to a Convenient place on road side, Hard work. Hutchin & Jordan making [shakes?] for roof this afternoon, made out an order on Div. Commissary in behalf of Co, "C" as being paid for in Co. Savings & signed by Lt Col Stibbs which was sucessfull in getting the supplis needed by Co. "C". Read an account of Shermans raid through Georgia, and
