119 Eastport Miss Jan.13th 1865 Friday We procured an an ox Team of a Citizen at $4,00 per day to haul our House logs, I drove the oxen and Hauled our logs at 6 loads, with the assistance of Hutchins & Jordan to load, We got through in 1/2 day The other Two made a very good quantity of shakes for roofing to day with nothing but an ax. Truly nesesity is the mother of invention
