124 Eastport Miss Jan 18th 1864 Wednesday still at work on Muster & pay Rolls, Descriptive Rolls of absent Wounded men &c. Helped Hutch & Jordan with the roof of House, as we put on roof to day & bound it with Heavey poles. Mr Jordan Dressed it finely with Clay, as we had no nails we drove sharpened hickory pins in the soft chessnut logs. Lt Col Stibbs left for Iowa on bussines [consetect?] with Regt.
