131 Eastport Miss Jan 25th.1865 Wensday Our Commissary Dept. is drained in Consequence of the delay of a fleet of Boats with supplies. so we have been on half Ration for some days. and to night Corn in the ear has been issued to the Troops of this Comd, I wrote a letter to Mrs. C.J. Henderson & sent some Christian Banners to the Boys & Stella Millne (Vertically, at left:-) too sent the photographs of [Jas?] McElvain Home
