136 Eastport Miss Jan 30th 1865 Monday Commenced drill twice per day according to Orders drilling now in the [?] of arms, the school of the Soldier, & the school of the Company, firing by Co. by rank & by file the Co fired 4 rounds per minite, which is very fast firing. Weather moderated & is now very mild and even warm. Hard tack & coffee is Issued in full supplies again.
