138 Eastport Miss Feby 1st 1865 Wensday Commenced drilling the Company in the bayonet exercise being a translation by McLellan of Gomards French System of fencing. Had a Dress Parade by Brigade Reviewed by McArther. Recd a letter from Mrs Henderson, in which I learn the Farm is rented by furnishing the seed & 80 bushels of Corn we get half the Crop of every thing Cleaned & baged & Hay & Straw stacked
