144 Tennessee River Feby 7th, 1865 Tuesday Sailed early this morning from Eastport Miss down the Tennessee acompanied by our Division on a fleet of 5 Boats. Twenty-Seven Drafted men Came to our Regt to day, from Davenport via Linville Kty. New York City, & Savanna. they are not yet assigned to Companies. Very Cold weather & great suffering amongst the men on deck.
