157 Four Mile Creek Miss Near Vicksburg Feby 18th 1865 Saturday By an Order from General Danas Dept, Comdr no kind of weapons are allowed to be sold on the [River?] at any City, Port, &c. so the new Command Shops Cannot by Swords Here. I have got the loan of a sabre from Capt Fuller of Co K. for the mean time. We are getting very short of funds as it is some time since paid.
