180. very amusing spectacle indeed & seems to be entered into with great zest by the Inhabitants, and those who were not masked Come out to see & laugh at those who were, so I had the pleasure of seeing New Orleans out Doors en mass. This City Claimed to have the prettiest women in the South. But Could not see it in that light for they are far below the standard of Northern Cities in this Respect
