204 Dauphin Island March 11th 1865 Saturday The Revd. Mr. Ingals addressed the Regiment this forenoon in behalf of the Iowa Soldiers Orphan Asylum, He spoke very ably & effectively on that subject as Considerable more was Contributed in addition to what the Regt done last June, which was then over $4 000 this time more making a Total for the 12th Iowa for that noble undertaking in behalf
