226 In the Field near Mobile Saturday March 25" and Remounted His Horse & Continued in Command of the Brigade which gave us all great satisfaction as He is a very fine man a Real Gentleman, and as Brave a soldier as ever rode a Horse. We marched 8 miles & Camped in line of battle throwing up works along the line. The 13" Corps Came up & Camped in our Rear. I was Detailed Officer of the Picket Guard with the 12" Detail of 60 men
