245 Siege of Spanish Fort Alabama April 6" 1865 Thursday I wrote a letter to Father today. Strenthening our works every night under cover of darkness, and Fatigue parties are sent out to advance our rifle Pitts for our skirmishers. The Rebel sharpshooters are more active this morning so much so that we Cannot move out of our trenches to day without being fired on one of our Regt was severely wounded today. Official Report was
