254 some over 2000 Prisoners & two gun Boats some of the 13" Corps & General Steels Troop colored participated in the Capture of Blakely. I wrote a letter to Mrs Henderson to day. The losses in the Charge on Blakely is not as severe as might have been anticipated as many of the Troops defending the place were Alabama Reserve Composed of Boys who have never fought before, some however were Veteran Troops.
