255 Blakely Alabama April 10" 1865 Monday Received one letter from Mrs Henderson dated March 17" I saw about 1000 of the Blakely Prisoners as they passed us to the Landing they were fine looking men being the Veteran portion of the Garrison, The Boys being the 2d Regt. Alabama Reserve which I did not see. Our Heavy Batteries are shelling Two Land Forts in the Bay which we Cannot reach (Vertically, at right:-) With our land forces
