257 Corceran made His escape in some way. Some men of Iowa Regts. of Gillharts Brigade of 16" Corps Charged on Two Gun Boats which hoisted a white flag & when the men boarded Them the Rebels hauled down the white flag & steamed off towards Mobile taking our men Prisoners, the Boats lay near Blakely when that was taken. We moved Camp out of range of the Rebel sand Forts in the Bay as we are to open on them with 8.32 pdr Parrott Guns this morning
