268 On the March in Alabama April 19th 1865 Wedensday The weather is getting very warm. While we were marching along through the Wilderness very weary and warm, we stoped to rest for a few moments and while we were thus resting we heard a shout in the rear which was taken up & Carried along the road towards us by the wearied Troops and we also disconcered that the sounds of rejoicing
