277 Montgomery Alabama April 25th 1865 Tuesday Last night Before we went into Camp one man of 9th Minnesota Infy got Killed & one man of same Regt Wounded by Rebels who were on our flanks, their men were out foraging. We marched 22 miles today passing through the City of Montgomery and Camped 3 miles west of the City near good Watter Courses & good shade Trees. This City is very pretty
