292 Montgomery Ala May 5th 1865 Friday A Meeting convend in the 12th Iowa Regt today for the purpose of Apointing a Delegate to the Iowa Soldier's Orphan Home Meeting Held in Iowa. J.J. Woods ex Col of Regt was nominated and resolutions Drafted and sent to Him expressing the wishes of the Soldiers with regard to the Nomination & object of the Institute, & we wish it to be as we suposed for the Soldiers orphans onely
