297 Steamer Tarascon Ala River May 10" 1865 Wedensday Mail this morning. I Rec'd Two letters from Mrs. Henderson Dated April 10th & 23d, the later date is [Judson,s?] Birth day the Eighth, one letter from D. B. Henderson & one from G.L. Durno. Our Division marched this morning & Crossed the Ala River on a pontoon. and then our Brigade got order to Return & embark on Boats for Selma, the 12" Ia 35" Iowa & 33 Mo, on the Tarascon. Sailed from Montgomery at 4 P.M. (Vertically, from bottom right:-) Lt. Frank Clark in one State Room
