1 Selma Alabama May 15th 1865 Monday Capt D. W. Reid was released from Special Duty at Regt Hd. Qrs. and will at once take Command of His Co. Special order No. 18, Dated May 13th.. / 65. Samuel S. Knee Major Comndg Regt. Drills Commenced to day in this Commnd, Once by Co. & Twice for Recruits Dress Parade at 5-30 P.M. roll call 3 Times. &c. untill further orders. The negroes are coming in from the surrounding Courntry in such imense numbers that it is very dificult to process (rest illelgible)
