14 Selma Ala May 27th 1865 Saturday I Came of Duty this morning at 9 oclock, and spent the rest of the day resting, reading &c. I seems now from recent accounts that the Veterans are to kept after the others are mustered out per an order received from Canby yesterday. We had a report of a terrible of a magazine in which many lives were lost and some blocks of the City shattered in Mobile. I Received a letter from Mrs Henderson of Date May 7" Wheat was sowen, but not oats
