15 Selma Ala May 28th..1865 Sunday The Veteran Volunteers, the 1st Veteran Corps. the Veteran reserve Corps and the Regulars are to be kept the Convalescent & Detached of all Troops but the above are to mustered out at once. as per Gen. orders No 48 & 49 Hd. Qurs. Military Div West Miss., Read a Poem a Romance of the war, written by a young Southern Lady in a Sentimental Spread Eagle Style [enlogiated?) of the Murderous Deeds of a Guerrilla Chief, who finaly fell by the Hand of a Southern Renegade in Federal Uniform, who She tries to palm of as one of the Hated Yankees,
