5 Selma Ala June 12th,, 1865 Monday When we entered Selma, not a Store or office of any kind was open, but now there are more than a Dozen Dry goods Stores. Groceries, Saloons, and more opening up every day. Southern Ladies put on Style o shopping. one woman who was waited on by a Colored girl. Called the said girl to Her business with the order, Diana! Diana! fan me while I make my purchases. and the obedient Diana fanned Her. played a few games of marbles with the boys to day. More rain. Very Hot yet
