9 Selma June 16th,, 1865 Friday Major Snider Commenced to pay the 12th Iowa Regt, this morning. and only succeeded in paying 2 Companies A & B. untill 3 P.M. when He stoped to Correct His posting up on the Rolls. all the rest of the 16th Corps have been paied & the Pay Masters passed down the river except this miserable quarters of bad whiskey which is paying this Brigade. I have this day been appointed Regimental Treasurer by a Board Administration Composed of Captains Hanscom of B, Robt Gibson of S, & Fuller of K
