Monday January 19th 1885 I felt a little better than yesterday but was in bed all day. Weather very cold indeed. Tuesday January 20 1885 I was up awhile in the afternoon and worked on Ida's hood. I had a letter from Will. I wrote him a few lines and a short letter to Charlie & Ida. Weather very cold. Wednesday January 21st 1885 It was an intensely cold day I was in bed a great part of the time. worked a little on Ida's hood. Thursday January 22nd 1885 I was up some today but felt quite bad. Hatt was over part of the day. weather very cold Friday January 23rd 1885 A snowy day. Mother rode to town and back. I was up most of the day. I finished Ida's hood and did some other work. I helped a little about the dish washing too Saturday January 24th 1885 I wrote a little in the forenoon. Was up all day, finished Mays stocking and read some. Mother was to town. Sunday January 25th 1885 I felt wretchedly all day. I read a greater part of the day. Mother and Ott went to Uncle Jims. It blew up very cold just at night. Monday January 26th 1885 It was a bitter cold day. I worked on some edging I am making to trim muslin for Mother.
