Tuesday February 3rd 1855. I helped about the work in the forenoon. I was in town part of the afternoon and at Hatts for supper. The baby is quite sick. Ott and I went to the opera house to hear "Madame Janowscheck" The play was very fine. I did not stay in town all night. had a letter from Will Reed. Wednesday February 4th 1885 I helped with the work all the forenoon as we had the washing done. I rode to town soon after dinner and stayed till nine oclock. The baby is some-what better today. Thursday February 5th 1885 I was at home all day. I cleaned up the parlors in the forenoon and in the afternoon I played on the piano I wrote a short letter to Will soon after dinner. Friday February 6th 1885 I was busy about the work all the forenoon. We heard that Sue Robinson died yesterday afternoon. I went down there for a few moments, and over town to do a lot of trading, Hattie was here most of the afternoon I put another skein of yarn on Mothers skirt in the evening Saturday February 7th 1885 I was at home all day. Ida went home for a visit and Mrs Hibbs and her boy started home today I practiced a couple of hours in the afternoon. Lizzie Lindley and her boy and baby stayed here all night. It snowed in the forenoon and turned cold at night again.
