Friday March 13th 1885. I did not feel very well all the forenoon but went over town with the girls soon after dinner Anna went home Ant us girls went down to the depot with Bird. she would go home today. It was supper time when I got home I played a little in the evening and went to bed early. Saturday March 14th 1885. It was a horrible windy day Mother was in town all day. I helped some about the house work and made the pillow sharms I had chainstitched for Hatt. I got my ring from Burlington tonight. We heard Mr Gillilland had lost his wife, which is most sad. Sunday March 15th 1885 I was busy about the work all the forenoon. Hatt and John were over with both the children. They went home about four oclock and not long after that it began to snow And was a cold stormy evening. I read a little Monday March 16th 1885 I did not feel very well today. We did not was Mother and Lee went to the funeral of Mrs Shirley Gillilland who died at Glenwood last Friday. It was a very cold day for the time of year. Tuesday March 17th 1885 We washed this forenoon. Mother went to town in the afternoon I am busy working pillow cases for Hatt. Weather a little more moderate. A letter from Will Reed.
