Sunday March 29th 1885. I went to church this morning. Mrs Carney and Hattie were over with the children. Edith did not go home. I read a little and in the evening wrote to Vene, Monday March 30th 1885. We did not wash this morning. I gave the house a good cleaning up and practiced some. Mother was in town in the afternoon. weather cold for the time of year. Tuesday March 31st 1885 We did the washing today. I worked some more pillow cases to chain stitch for ourselves, and worked a little I played some on the piano. I had a letter from Will. Wednesday April 1st 1885. I worked on the pillow case some and practiced a little May got up this afternoon from have the measles she had been sick since Monday morning Ida got the ironing done before noon.Charlie Helnick stayed all night with Ott. last night We called at Fletchers tonight Ott & I Thursday April 2nd 1885. Harris got back from a weeks visit to Dakota this morning. And Ott started away for a business trip through south western Iowa. It was cold and windy so we did not take Edith home. John & Hatt came over here to supper. After I put Edith asleep I wrote a long letter to Will.
