Friday April 24th 1885. I cleaned up the front part of the house in the forenoon And while mother and Ida was gone to town in the afternoon I practiced a couple of hours. We had some company in the evening a few of the neighbors in and literary exercises. John & Hatl was over We had quite a pleasant time. Saturday April 25th 1885. Ida and I went over town early and to the depot to meet Charlie. We were all to Hatties to dinner where we had a pleasant visit. In the afternoon Ott brought down the papers and records of the trust fund business and divided it equally among us five children there was nearly three thousand dollars apiece. It came on to rain in the afternoon and was so bad that us girls rode home in a hack. I feel dreadful with my cold. we spent the evening quietly at home. Sunday April 26th 1885 It was rather a pleasant day. We were at home all the forenoon and in the afternoon mother went to Frobek Mahonas funeral and Charlie and Ida went to the cemetery. I sat out on the porch a long time and played some on the piano. I wrote a letter to Winnie before supper. Mr Clute took supper with us. Early in the evening Charlie & Ida, and I called at Falsoms. Every body was tired and went to bed early
