Saturday May 2nd 1885. I went to the gallery and tried for another negative this morning as I did not like the last one I got. It was noon when I got home. I practiced all the afternoon. Mother and Ida was in town. May has a severe cold. Sunday May 3rd 1885. There was a hard shower this morning but Hatt sent the young ones over and she came afterwards. Minnie McCallister was with them. They all went home befoer supper. I played on the piano all the evening. Monday May 4th 1885. It was a pleasant day and Ida did a large washing I was in town most of the forenoon and practiced all the afternoon. Mother went down to Mrs Lathrops. Tuesday May 5th 1885. I helped with the work some today as Ida was ironing Mother was in town awhile. I had as letter from Will and wrote to him in the evening. I practiced all the afternoon. Weather unpleasant. Wednesday May 6th 1885. I went over to Hatts this forenoon and took my lesson there as Miss Fairall was giving Hatt her lesson I went up town after dinner and sent Will a birth day present as tomorrow is his birth day. Hatt came home with me and in the evening we all went out to Fletchers to the lilbrary society. It blew up horrible cold just at night. A few words from Lee today.
