Wednesday July 15th 1885 Mother went to town this morning and Hatt came home with her and she and I walked down to Kalsons where we spent the day. I wrote to Will in the evening. Thursday July 16th 1885 I did not feel at all well today but sewed on Mays dress. I wrote a letter to Charlie. It was rainy in the morning and we did not have the washing done. Friday July 17th 1885 I cleaned up all the lamps in the house and baked cake in the forenoon. Mother helped with the washing It was cool pleasnat day. We did some of the ironing The company we had invited came and Ott was entirely surprised. The show that Mr Free made with his magic lantern pictures were very pretty. The evening was lovely But Oh how I miss Rob at a time like this. Saturday July 18th 1885 I cleaned the house all up nice this morning and rested awhile before dinner. May and I went to town soon after dinner. I took her to the gallery to have pictures taken and then to the barber shop to have her hair cut. I was down to Hatts a little while I came up past the store and Lee and I put in an hour selecting paper for the house so we are going to clean house next week. It rained in the morning but come out very hot in the afternoon. We sat on the porch all the evening.
