Friday July 24th 1885 I worked about up stairs most of the forenoon fixing the screens and moving my things from the little room into my own. I fixed the carpet for the little room in the afternoon. The man finished papering the parlor. Saturday July 25th 1885 I was just about sick today and did not do much of any thing. Grandma and Aunt Mary were here all day and Hatt was over in the afternoon. weather very warm The boys put down the parlor carpet this morning Sunday July 26th 1885 It was a fearful hot day. I did nothing but rest Mother went to church and to Hatts for her dinner. Hatt and John and the children come home with her and stayed till after supper. wrote to Will Work. Monday July 27th 1885 We had a very large washing to do today. We helped some with it and ironed in the afternoon. We did some work on the cleaing. The carpet was taken out the parlor bedroom. Mr Sterret was papering in the hall. Tuesday July 28th 1885 I worked a great deal of the time today on the carpet for the upper hall. Mother finished up the ironing. Mr. Sterrett papered the parlor bedroom and the little room of the kitchen and we cleaned it up. It blew up a little cool at supper time. It had been a very warm day. I had a letter from Will.
