Monday September 21st 1885 I went to town this morning and was nearly overcome with heat when I came home. Mother and I worked all the afternoon making apple jelly. Uncle Jacob & Jim were here for a little while. Uncle starts to Delaware tonight he says. A letter from Lively. Tuesday September 22nd 1885 I was working all the spare time I had in the forenoon cleaning out cup boards and putting the jelly away. I had a letter from Will. Mother was in town all the afternoon I practiced a little and worked on my edging. Wednesday Septembner 23rd 1885 I washed the ceiling to the pantry and baked a cake for the banquet tomorrow night. Charlie came up home for dinner today. I was over to Hatts in the afternoon and we went down to the depot when Charlie started back. I wrote to Will in the evening. Took supper at Hatts. Thursday Septembner 24th 1885 Mother was in town all day. there was a parade of the "Crocker Brigade." I got dinner and that was about all I did do I was so lame in my arms from washing that ceiling She came home just at evening and brought both the children with her to stay all night. Ott and I went to the brigade banquet at the Arcade with John & Hatt. The crowd was immense. We were nearly mashed trying to get in. It was grand though. I would not have missed it for anything. We got home a little before midnight. weather delightful.
