Friday September 25th 1885 We had a large washing done this morning and I did part of the ironing while Mother was gone to town in the afternoon. The children were sent home this evening. Saturday September 26th 1885 I was most of the forenoon finishing the ironing. I put the clothes away in the afternoon and worked on my edging and practiced a little. I felt too tired to do work of any thing. weather continues very pleasant. Sunday September 27th 1885 It was a pleasant day and the folks were over. I was busy about the work nearly all the forenoon. Hatt and I walked down to Robinsons in the afternoon but did not find any one at home so came right back. I wrote letters to friends in Ohio. played all the evening. Monday September 28th 1885 I papered anad cleaned the pantry up before noon soon after dinner the boys helped us change the position of the kitchen stove. Mother went to town and I was all the afternoon fixing up a wood box and cleaning up the kitchen. I was tired and went to bed early. Tuesday September 29th 1885 It was a rainy gloomy day. I fixed a new carpet in the bay window and in the afternoon I was making a change in some of my dresses. I had a letter from Will. Mother wanted to go to town to see how John was as he had not been well for a couple of day but could not
