Friday October 30th 1885 I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. Mother was in town in the afternoon and Mrs Eugene Hart was here for a long call and to invite us all over on Sunday for dinner. I worked on my edging all the evening. Saturday October 31st 1885 It was a rainy day. May went over to Hatties and did not get back. I worked all the forenoon on my edging and putting wood boxes up stairs. I practiced awhile in the afternoon and made edging in the evening. Sunday November 1st 1885 It was a cold windy day. we soon got the work done up and all of us but Lee and Harris went over to Eugene Harts for dinner. had a pleasant visit. I read a little in the evening and went to bed early. Monday November 2nd 1885 I went to town early this morning and did a little trading and was at Hatts awhile. Mother was over at Fletchers sale all day. Charlie was home for dinner. I got stuff for May aprons and worked on them all my spare time. Tuesday November 3rd 1885 I was busy about the house nearly all the forenoon while Mother was in town. I had a letter from Will I wrote Hatt in regard to coming over tomorrow night. I did not feel like going over to see her. I finished Mays aprons. weather more pleasant again.
