Wednesday November 25th 1885 I am still working at putting up curtains. The children both came over right away after dinner. I went to the party tonight with Lee. The young folks had a splendid time and Hatt & John did every thing possible for their pleasure. I had a letter from Will today that should have come yesterday. The word come tonight that Vice President Henricks was dead. Thursday November 26th 1885 We were rather a stupid crowd today. John & Hatt were over for dinner and took the children home with them Mother went to town as they did to order groceries. I wrote a short letter to Will for the evening mail. I went to bed early. Friday November 27th 1885 I did quite a large washing this morning and went to town right away after dinner. I did some shopping, was at Hatts awhile and at the dentist till nearly night. I began lace for a side-board scarf. weather very pleasant. Saturday November 28th 1885 It was a splendid day. I went to Mrs Lathrops after I had finished my morning work. I had a pleasant visit and a call at Mollie Robinsons. worked on my lace in the evening. I have the curtains all fixed. Sunday November 29th 1885 I went to church in the morning and stopped at Hatts a few moments. Mother and May went to the cemetery in the afternoon. The boys were all gone and I was left alone. I wrote a letter to Ida in the evening. weather pleasant.
