Tuesday December 15th 1885 I helped with the work in the forenoon and did some on my lace. I was in town nearly all the afternoon and with Hatt part of the time doing shopping for christmas. I had a letter from Will and wrote to him to come Saturday. Wednesday December 16th 1885 I was at home all day doing sewing on different things. I finished my side board scarf. Mother was in town all the afternoon buying Christmas presents. weather rather pleasant. Thursday December 17th 1885 I was busy cleaing up the lower story of the house all the forenoon and washed in the afternoon. I was very tired at night and went to bed early. Mother ironed before dinner. Friday December 18th 1885 I gave the upper story a good cleaining up in the forenoon and worked down stairs till the middle of the afternoon when I went over with Hatt who was over to get some things I needed about my work. a letter from Will, he comes tomorrow Saturday December 19th 1885 Mother and I were busy about the work most of all day Ott went to the depot to meet Will who came at ten oclock at night. I was very glad to see him once more. weather pleasant. Sunday December 20th 1885 The boys were in town part of the day. I read "Othello" and wrote a letter to Vene. Will and I went to church in the evening with John & Hatt. We miss Harris very much he started to Dakota yesterday. Fred Byington is staying here for a few days.
