Monday January 11th 1886 Lee went home this morning though it was so cold I was right at home all day and worked on my edging besides writing a letter to Will Work. I sat up to keep fires till nearly two oclock. Charlie went to the office. Tuesday January 12th 1886 weather more moderate. I was over to the grocery on an errand for Carrie. She washed today. I wrote letters. Wednesday January 13th 1886 I went down town this monring. I had a letter from Ott with twenty dollars in it and one from Will. I got me a new shawl and some trimmings for muslin I took dinner at the Harris house and spent part of the afternoon there. I walked out home. spent most of the evening in Ida's room. weather much more pleasant. Thursday January 14th 1886 I made me a new swiss apron in the forenoon and right away after dinner I wrote a letter to Will. Then talked with Ida till time to go down town. I stopped at the office and Charlie went down to the house with me. I spent the evening pleasantly at the house. Friday January 15th 1886 Kelse came with me to the depot. I arrived at home on time and stopped to see Hatt a little while. She came up town with me. I talked with Mother all the afternoon and worked on my pillow cases. I showed her the things I bought in berlington. She liked them very much.
